She is an Adjunct Online Assistant Professor of Oral Communication/ Public Speaking at Oral Roberts University. She has taught Communication and Multimedia Journalism for over 20 years at Universities and Colleges. She is a former reporter, news anchor, and radio host.
Isabel Kadoorie is a seasoned Toastmaster, former club officer, District 18 Administration Manager, founder, and past Club Counselor of Why Not Youth Gavel Club. Isabel served as Club Coordinator and Club Advisor. In 2024, she turned her role over to Mia Calapardo. Mia is a marketing specialist and the Speak & Shine® Youth Club Coordinator.

Speak & Shine Academy is an online public speaking school dedicated to helping young people and entrepreneurs develop speaking and leadership skills. It started in the summer of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Dr. Sunny Fridge and Isabel Kadoorie worked together to provide an online summer camp for members of the public speakin
Speak & Shine Academy is an online public speaking school dedicated to helping young people and entrepreneurs develop speaking and leadership skills. It started in the summer of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Dr. Sunny Fridge and Isabel Kadoorie worked together to provide an online summer camp for members of the public speaking youth club. Seeing a highly effective way to teach young people virtually, they co-founded Speak & Shine® Academy online. Since then, Dr. Sunny has been working non-stop to provide many children, teenagers, and adults the opportunity to become better speakers. Some students who were shy began to enjoy talking. In our small class environment, every student benefits greatly from the engaging participation, and many have been able to unleash their speaking superpowers. We make sure the students have both fun and a productive learning experience. Compared to many other youth public speaking schools, we are much more quality-oriented. Therefore, our students benefit from the high-quality teaching methods. Parents have been very happy with the transformational results from our online courses.

Our mission is to empower students and adults to develop their communication and leadership skills and gain a lifetime benefit from knowledge and skills.
The latest venture is Speak & Shine Youth Club. Meetings are run by student members. Dr. Sunny is also committed to working with community leaders to bring workshops to those organizations meeting face-to-face in Summer and Fall 2025.
